Football 2011

This year Christian gets to play USA football. He is in 3rd grade now. We are excited to watch him. He is a little small and bony but he will grow I am sure of it. ;) He likes it so far so that is half the battle. I hope he enjoys it throughout the year. So far he hasn't quite caught the glimpse of the whole idea but he is trying and not complaining about practice.



Michael is having more of a struggle. His knee is solid this year but his hamstring, where they took the donor tendon, has really been bothering him. Since his whole leg was in an immobilizing brace for 8 weeks he had severe muscle atrophy. His hamstring is still quite smaller than his right even though all the physical therapy and training this summer. He has had a heart breaking beginning to this football season. Keeping his spirits up is really difficult. His dad always know just what to say. I on the other hand am not that person so not much help to my 16th year old son. I hate not being able to comfort him.
